A LAST LOOK AT LA PAZ

As before scroll to the bottom and read from bottom to top to be in the right order.
We left La Paz and we picked up a young man to travel with me going up the outside of Baja because LaVon did not want to, we got into San Jose Wed. the 27th, spent some time with Dick and Maryllin Smith and LaVon flew home Fri. the 29th.
Seth and I will be leaving about 4AM Sat. morning the 30th and I figure it will be about 8 to 10 days up to Ensanada with one over nighter weather permitting.
I'll let everyone know when we get into Ensanada, Seth will take off from there and I will probably stay for a week or so and have the bottom painted before I head up to San Diego and on north.
When I get back to the states I'll reconnect the phone and I will get a new air card so I will have internet. OOOHHH to have a reliabel (sp) internet again...

Try Again

AS BEFORE YOU NEED TO SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND READ FROM BOTTOM TO THE TOP TO BE IN CRONOLOGICAL ORDER.
I FOUND THE BEST TIME TO USE THE INTERNET IS BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 4 A.M. WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS ON AND I CAN DOWNLOAD PICTURES WITHOUT IT SLOWING ME DOWN AND DROPPING ME OFF.
WE STAYED IN LA PAZ A WEEK BECAUSE THE WINDS WERE PICKING UP FOR A FEW DAYS, THEN IT TAKES ANOTHER DAY OR TWO FOR THE SEA TO FLATTEN OUT. WE WENT BACK OUT TO THE ISLANDS FOR ABOUT EIGHT DAYS OF SOME OF THE BEST WEATHER WE HAVE HAD SINCE WE ARRIVED DOWN HERE.
WE ARE BACK IN LA PAZ NOW BECAUSE THE STORMS THAT ARE GOING THRU CALIFORNIA ARE CAUSING THE WINDS TO PICK UP AROUND HERE, THAT MAY DELAY OUR PLANS TO START HEADING BACK NEXT WEEK, IT WILL TAKE ABOUT A WEEK TO GET TO CABO AND ANOTHER TWO WEEKS TO GET TO SAN DIEGO WEATHER PERMITTING. NEXT WEEK 12 TO 14 FT. SWELLS AND 30 TO 40 kt WINDS ARE PREDICTED OFF THE WEST COAST OF BAJA SO IT IS NOT THE TIME TO HEAD BACK YET.

JUST AS WE WERE COMMING BACK INTO LA PAZ A YACHT TRANSPORT SHIP WAS LOADING-- IN DEC. I DID E-MAIL FOR A QUOTE ON HAVING THE BOAT SHIPPED BACK FROM LA PAZ TO VANCOUVER B.C.--ALMOST $24,000 NOT INCLUDING INSURANCE AND PORT FEES
ON OUR WAY BACK TO LA PAZ WE SAW A LARGE WHALE BROACHING--WITH THE DELAY ON THE DIGITAL CAMERA ALL I CAUGHT WAS THE SPLASH BUT IT WAS SPECTACULAR TO WATCH
THIS IS OUR FRIENDS HOUSE WHERE WE WENT TO WATCH THE ROSE BOWL
WE WERE INVITED BACK TO LORETO ON NEW YEARS TO WATCH THE ROSE BOWL GAME AND WHILE WALKING TO OUR FRIENDS HOUSE I NOTICED THIS MICROWAVE TOWER THAT WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE A PALM TREE

THE TOWN SQUARE IN LORETO- THEY ARE TEARING UP ALL OF THE OLD COBBLESTONES AND REPLACING THEM WITH STAMPED CONCRETE TO LOOK LIKE STONE. THAT IS SO SAD BECAUSE THE QUALITY OF CONCRETE THEY USE IS SO POOR THAT IT STARTS TO CRACK IN 4-5 YEARS
